Home educators

Home-educated student with mother

NEC is pleased to provide a wide range of courses and options to parents and guardians interested in home educating for their children.

Home educating allows parents to tailor their children’s education in a way that institutionalised education does not permit, meaning you can focus on the subjects that you and your children feel are most valuable.

If you’re considering teaching your child using home educating, NEC has a comprehensive range of qualifications to help.

NEC’s range of general education courses provide the flexibility and versatility you need to ensure your child receives an education that can prepare them for college, university or the world of work.

Why study at home with NEC?

NEC has an illustrious history of working with home educators and has consistently helped home-educated children achieve excellent exam results.

Our tutors are familiar with the specific demands home education can place on both parents and children, and are on hand to provide support throughout your time with us. Each one of them is CRB-checked and experienced in working with young people, so you can be sure that your child's education is in safe hands.

You can also be sure that our courses are tailored specifically towards the leading examining bodies’ specifications and will fully prepare your child for any exams at the end of their course.

If you can get to one of our following partner exam centres, we can even arrange your child’s exam registration for the end of their course:

  • Cambridge
  • Doncaster
  • Reading
  • Ashton-under-Lyne (Greater Manchester)
  • Gravesend
  • Swindon

On top of providing quality materials, excellent support and as much help as possible when it comes to your child’s exams, we also offer all home educators a 10% discount when they enrol with us.

If you are ready to enrol your child or children

We would recommend that you call us on 0800 389 2839 or email us at info@nec.ac.uk. Speaking to us directly will ensure we can enrol your child or children as efficiently as possible.

We will need to know your child's name, date of birth and an email address their tutor can use to contact them. This can be an email address of their own or, if you prefer, yours or a family email address. However, if you are enrolling siblings, each child will require a unique email address.

We look forward to hearing from you.
