Introduction to Maths

Maths skills are essential for many education or training programmes, and in many careers. This course introduces key maths ideas and techniques such as working with numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages and more. On completion of the course you can transfer to our GCSE Maths course and gain an important qualification.



Course requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you need to be able to read and write in English. This is an online course so you will also need access to the internet.

Duration of study

It's really up to you but, as a guide, we estimate the course will take about 40-50 hours, plus additional time for developing your skills, such as for assignment work you submit to your tutor. You will have tutor support for a period of up to 12 months from the date of enrolment.


There is no specification but this course will introduce you to key concepts in GCSE Maths.
