Carers in Eastern England – a chance to learn……..
October 3, 2002
How can you do that evening class you are interested in, maintain your editing skills so you can get another job later, start learning that new language or restart that GCSE you were doing at college before Mum had her stroke? It’s hard enough for anyone to do this, but if you are also caring for someone else at the same time then it seems impossible….Or perhaps not now….
National Extension College has teamed up with The Princes Royal Trust for Carers and successfully obtained funding from the Community Fund so that carers can access NEC courses at reduced rates. We can offer a range of courses including GCSEs, AS and A2s, vocational subjects such as book-keeping or childminding, along with creative writing, counselling, IT and study skills.
Find out more in the Carers' Project Group. The group area also includes an application form to download.
(You will have to register on the site if you haven't already done so, this is free.)
