New Unitised structure for CMI qualifications
September 22, 2008
From September 2008 The Chartered Management Institute is introducing a new assessment framework for recognising skills and qualifications.
The QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) works by allocating credit values to 'units of learning' based on the hours of learning time required to complete a unit.
This learning by unit is ideal for distance learning as students can enrol on just one unit to gain the award, and then choose to enrol on further units if they wish to go on to achieve the certificate and diploma. NEC has two management courses that will be assessed under this new framework. CMI Level 3 Award/Certificate/Diploma in First Line Management and the CMI Level 5 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Management and Leadership will be available from October 2008.
