You’ll cover all the key elements, including double-entry book-keeping, VAT, ledgers, wages and salaries, and balance sheets. Completing this course will prepare you for an exam leading to a qualification from a number of awarding bodies, including the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers.

Entry requirements

  • No previous experience of bookkeeping  is needed
  • An ability to read and write in English
  • Please check all requirements with the awarding body before you begin


  • Complete at your own pace
  • Approx. 60 study hours, plus time for completing assignments


  • This course will help you to prepare for  Level 2  qualifications, for which you will need to sit an exam.


  • 7 assignments – these do not contribute towards your final grade


  • No additional set texts required
