Improving accessibility

We want every one who visits the NEC website and access our courses to feel welcome and to find the experience rewarding.

If you would like a copy of our full Accessibility Statement please email info@www.nec.ac.uk

NEC is committed to making its courses as accessible as possible, providing equal and inclusive learning resources and experiences for all students.

We cannot currently guarantee full accessibility across all elements of our courses.

Our ultimate aim is to ensure all aspects of NEC meet a minimum of Level 2.1 (AA) of the Web Content Accessibility (WCAG) guidelines.

This process is an ongoing one, and we will continue to make changes in line with guidance. If you would like to send us feedback on your experience, please do not hesitate to do so using the Feedback form.

Conformance status

NEC has two main websites:

  • www.nec.ac.uk (where you can enrol on on our courses)
  • learn@nec (our online learning platform where you access your learning materials.)

WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

  • www.nec.ac.uk currently is conformant/partially conformant with INSERT
  • learn@nec is currently conformant/partially conformant with INSERT
