Development of Specialist Domestic Violence Courts
Rachel’s career began in 1989 within the Court Service, where she progressed from a Trainee Court Clerk to Deputy Justices’ Clerk over 20 years. In these roles she provided legal advice and support, undertook staff performance management, and was involved in the development and deployment of strategic legal projects. Notably, she led the development of Specialist Domestic Violence Courts, enhancing outcomes for victims of domestic violence.
Fostering a culture of excellence
A solicitor of the Supreme Court since 1994, Rachel currently holds a current Non-Practicing Certificate and remains passionate about extending her governance knowledge and experience. Her dedication to governance is evident in her continuous efforts to improve practices and her commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, relationships, and mindsets within the organisations she serves.
