This Friday, the National Extension College (NEC) is proud to be attending the prestigious Festival of Education. The Festival of Education is a key event that brings together thought leaders, practitioners, and change-makers from across the education sector. As a charitable provider with over 60 years of experience in distance learning, NEC is excited to showcase our innovative approach to inclusive learning and accessible education.
Empowering All Learners Through Digital Diversity
We are very excited and honoured to have been given the opportunity to speak at the event and to present our workshop that focuses on “Designing Digital Diversity: Principles for Powerful, Inclusive Learning”. This workshop has been designed to highlight NEC’s commitment to transforming home education and online learning into powerful tools for equity. We believe that accessibility isn’t just a technical requirement—it’s the foundation of great teaching and learning.
In this interactive workshop, we will be demonstrating how NEC’s self-paced GCSE course materials (each offering over 150 hours of rich content) have been carefully designed to meet the needs of diverse learners. From flexible navigation to adaptive formats, every aspect of our course design is rooted in the principle that all students deserve a fair and supportive learning experience, no matter where they are or how they learn best.
Great and logical website. Great education system. Excellent teachers who are compassionate and understanding. Teachers who get back to the student with support very quickly. – NEC Student Josh
