History of Art Bursary

Thanks to a generous grant from Art History in Schools (AHiS), NEC is able to offer bursaries to support students studying A level History of Art.

These bursaries are awarded on a needs basis and help cover enrolment, tuition, and exam fees.

The fund is particularly focused on supporting young people from state sector schools in England who may not otherwise be able to access this educational opportunity.

The Classical Association Bursary

Every year since 2021 NEC has worked with The Classical Association to offer full bursaries for state sector teachers to study NEC’s A level Classical Civilisation course.

You can find out about the professional development opportunities the Classical Association offers here.

We are pleased to offer discounts on NEC course fees to members of The Classical Association. If you are a member and looking at studying any NEC course, contact them to find out more.

Study advice and resources

We understand that the difference between A levels and studying at university can feel like a huge leap. We have worked together with UCAS to create a range of study skills guides to help you make this transition as simple as possible.

NEC and UCAS believe everyone needs to invest time in learning the skills needed for independent study, if they are to become confident students and get the most out of their course.
