Sarah Turner is NEC’s Director of Quality and Assessment and a senior education leader with decades of experience across teaching, assessment, curriculum development, and global qualification delivery. Beginning her career as a secondary English teacher, she progressed into senior strategic roles at Cambridge University Press & Assessment and ABE Global and most recently worked at UCL’s Institute of Education. Sarah is known for driving high-quality assessment practice, expanding professional development globally, and leading digital transformation in qualifications and learning. She holds an MA in Educational Leadership from UCL and is a certified Change Management Practitioner.
Sarah’s role is to provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure excellent student outcomes through high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and support. Reporting to the CEO, Sarah oversees safeguarding, tutor delivery, examinations, and educational quality in line with regulatory compliance. She is responsible for driving continuous improvement across these areas, and for the effective implementation of NEC’s educational strategy.
