Kerrin Compton oversees the organisation’s Finance and Operations, ensuring long-term financial health while leading the IT team and systems infrastructure. A qualified accountant (CPFA), Kerrin brings extensive experience from a 20-year career at Cambridgeshire County Council. Notably, he spent nine years as the Schools Finance Accountant, where he managed £190 million in annual funding and oversaw complex compliance with the ESFA and DfE, as well as managing relationships with Barclays bank and external auditors.
At NEC Kerrin is a key member of the Finance and Governance Committee. He holds strategic lead responsibility for both Consumer Duty and Data Protection, ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory obligations and maintains high operational standards.
